President of Nigeria Aquatic Federation (NAF) Babatunde Fatai Williams has accused the ministry of sport of not living up to its duties as regards taking care of the swimming pool at the Abuja national stadium, which is in a bad state now.
Williams stated that the pool is currently in a sorry state and begging for urgent attention. "Everything in the pool is in a bad state," he said, adding that "the pumps are not working and there is no power supply to the Abuja Nation Stadium."
He stressed that the pool requires total renovation. "We need a good generator, chemical, good pumping machine among other things to get the pool functioning again," he said.
