New Coronavirus Cases In Nigeria


Four new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria; 3 in the FCT and 1 in Lagos
As at 08:00 pm 31st March there are 139 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Nine have been discharged with two deaths

BREAKING: Gov Seyi Makinde Tests Positive For COVID-19

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has tested positive for coronavirus and is in self-isolation. 

The governor revealed this in a statement on his verified Twitter handle on Monday where he disclosed that he is asymptomatic.
“I just received my COVID-19 confirmation test result,” he tweeted. “It is POSITIVE. I am asymptomatic and will continue to self-isolate."

BUHARI ORDERS TOTAL LOCKDOWN OF LAGOS, OGUN AND ABUJA.

President Muhammadu Buhari has imposed a curfew restricting movements in Lagos, Ogun and Abuja.

The President disclosed in his address to the nation on Sunday, March 29.

Addressing Nigerians, the President said, “based on the advice of the Federal Ministry of Health and the NCDC, I am directing the cessation of all movements in Lagos and the FCT for an initial period of 14 days with effect from 11pm on Monday, 30th March 2020. This restriction will also apply to Ogun State due to its close proximity to Lagos and the high traffic between the two States.”
